Obituary

Robert Andrew Rhodes, age 72, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023.

Mr. Rhodes was born August 1, 1950 in Dublin to the late Alex Andrew Rhodes and late Isabel Colter Rhodes. He retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission after working as the Seed Orchard Superintendent. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He loved farming, fishing, his family, and his fur baby, Maggie.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his sister, Barbara Kersey.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Rhodes of Dexter; son, Robbie Rhodes (Pam McDaniel) of Dexter; daughter, Jennifer (Horace NeSmith) Herndon of Dexter; granddaughter, Rylie (Rett) Gay of Rentz; grandson, Rhett (Ericka) Herndon of Dexter; brother, Jim (Sheryl) Rhodes of Rentz; sister-in-law, Betty Williams; brother-in-law, Jimmy Kersey; and fur baby, Maggie.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Keith Hall will officiate.
