Roland Larry Hart

Roland Larry Hart, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Mr. Hart is preceded in death by his parents, James Theo Hart and Geneva Green Hart, and his brother, Leonard Hart.

Mr. Hart was born in McRae on October 22, 1947. He was a member of White Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and song leader. He was member of Gideons International. He had a jolly and giving heart and loved to help his neighbors and everyone in need. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Hart of Dublin; son, Jeremy Hart (Valerie) of Dublin; daughter, Amanda Amerson (Tim) of Dublin; grandchildren, Cody Hart (Mara), Kasey Amerson (Jossie), Tucker Hart, Caleb Amerson, and Ethan Hart; great-grandchildren, Marlee Hart and Raya Hart; sisters, Linda Combes (George) and Lurlene Fussell (Tommy); brother, Ennis Hart (Brenda); and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at White Springs Baptist Church with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Wayne Durden and Rev. Chuck Yzenski will officiate the service. The family will receive friends 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M at the church.

Mr. Hart’s grandsons, Cody Hart, Kasey Amerson, Tucker Hart, Caleb Amerson and Ethan Hart and his nephews, Mike Combes, and Troy Windham, will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Rogers, James Barber, Connie Spires, Jackson Spires, and Foster Couey.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mr. Hart’s honor to Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 27, Dublin, GA 31040.
