Ronald Eugene Scott

Ronald Eugene Scott, age 80, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Mr. Scott was born January 22, 1943 to the late Lonnie Scott and Ethel Ward Scott in Dublin, Georgia. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He retired from Fortsman and Farming. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Ree Giddens Scott, sister, Elizabeth S. Holliday, and brothers, Lonnie B. Scott Jr., Bobby Gene Scott, and Jimmy B. Scott.

He is survived by his daughter, Jan Scott (Rodney McDaniel) of East Dublin, Georgia; grandson, Eric James McDaniel (Ashley) of Dublin, Georgia; grandson, Aaron Scott McDaniel of Dublin, Georgia; and sister, Martha Jo Maddox of East Dublin, Georgia.

Services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Grady Mimbs will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.

Eric McDaniel, Scott McDaniel, Rodney McDaniel, Rodney Horne Jr., Mike Mertz, and Larry Graham will serve as pallbearers.
