Roy Lamar Loftin, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, in Dublin, GA. Born on September 13, 1942, in Augusta, GA, Roy was a man whose life was marked by devotion to his family, his faith, and his community.

Roy was predeceased by his father, Roy W. Loftin, his mother, Emmie Sue Strickland Loftin, and his brothers, Thomas, George, and Robert Loftin. His legacy continues through his beloved wife, Gail Loftin of Dublin; his son, Kip Loftin and wife Dawn of Dublin; his daughter, Stephanie Whaley and husband Sean of Hampstead, NC; his sister, Isabelle Johnson of Rockledge, GA; his cherished granddaughters, Kellie Loftin of Athens, GA, and Heather Loftin (Nick) of Dublin; his grandsons, Shane and Sam Whaley of Hampstead, NC; and his adored great-granddaughter, Charlie Dawn Lassiter of Dublin, GA. Roy also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Roy dedicated 17 years of his career to YKK as a plant engineer before his well-deserved retirement. Roy's involvement in his church was a testament to his faith-filled life. As a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church and a former member of Bluewater Baptist Church, he served his church community with passion and humility. Roy's roles over the years included Deacon, Sunday School Director and teacher, choir member, and he served in various other capacities, always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed.

Those who knew Roy will remember him for his love of yard work. He also enjoyed golfing in his spare time. Above all, Roy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His presence was a source of stability and love, and his guidance was delivered with kindness and wisdom.
