Royce James Waid

Royce James Waid, age 36, of Dublin, passed away on October 6, 2021.

Royce was born in Laurens County on March 29, 1985, and was a graduate of West Laurens High School and the Heart of Georgia Technical College. He received the Who’s Who Award and was a prior employee of TV 35, Freedom P.C., Hometown Supply, and the Dublin Country Club. He was preceded in death by his father, Rocky Mercado, and his mother, Adrienne Waid.

Survivors include his siblings, Rafael Mercado (Karen) of Tampa, FL; Richey Mercado (Judith) of Florida, Colette Tank of Dublin, and Deborah Padgett (Derek) of East Dublin; cousins, Ryan Waid (Karen) of Dublin, and Amy Reedy of Warner Robins; several nieces and nephews; and significant other, Nairobi Mills, and her daughter, Nyonna Mills.

Services will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
