Russell Roy Lane

Russell Roy Lane, age 63, of Rentz, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

Mr. Lane was a native of Laurens County and a member of Baker Baptist Church. He retired from Progressive Rural Telephone Co-Op after 31 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved spending time with family and friends, and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Alma Horne Lane.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Lane, of Rentz; daughter, Christi Kea, of Rentz; grandchildren, Cameron Templeman, Christian Kea, and Carly Kea; brother, Eddie Lane (Larie), of McRae, and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Lane will be held on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11:00AM at Baker Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. David Rowe will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until funeral hour at the church.

Pallbearers will be Roger Brown, Andy Sellers, Shane Richardson, Darrell Templeman, Tony Hester, Buddy Rogers, Scott Mullis, and Deacon Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Progressive Rural Telephone Co-Op.
