Samuel A. Williams, age 89, passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2026. He lived a long life marked by love for his family, strong faith, and a legacy that will continue for generations.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Willene (Ward) Williams; and his sons, David Williams and Allen Williams
Samuel was a devoted member of Minter Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon and led Sunday School for many years. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he instilled those values deeply within his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Wilkes Williams; his son, Greg (Lisa) Williams; two step sons, David (Alicia) Wilkes, and Stan (Wendy) Wilkes; his daughter-in-law, Vicky Williams and his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Sheree (Perry) Rogers and their children, Luke, Jake, and Logan, of Wrightsville; April (Michael) Henderson and their children, Jaden, Gabby, and Gage, of Dublin; Dusty (Jenna) Williams and their children, Cam and Avery, of Rincon; and Madison (Chase) Dent of Dublin.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.
Samuel will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his devotion to his family, and the steady, loving presence he was to all who knew him. His life was a testament to faith, resilience, and enduring love.
His memory will be forever treasured by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2026, in the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Northview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
The family will be receiving family and friends at 1759 S Hwy 29, in East Dublin.
