Sandra McCollough Obituary

Sandra Stevens McCollough was a caring wife, mother, Mamaw, sister, and friend. She left this world following an extended illness on May 1, 2021, at age 72.

She is preceded in death by her parents - Prentice and Ozelle Mullis, two loving husbands Jimmie Stevens and David McCollough, sister Dianne Brown, brother Glynn Mullis, and niece Shelly Tanner.

During their 25 years together, she and Jimmie raised three children, built a loving home, and will leave a legacy of love and kindness. After being widowed, she met and married David for 16 years. With him, she experienced the freedom of sailing in their sailboat and deep-sea fishing.

After high school, Sandra attended cosmetology school and was a hairdresser for nearly 50 years. During that time as a hairdresser, she built many lasting relationships. She loved spending time with her family, gardening and preserving vegetables, cooking and baking, sewing, fishing, and riding horses. Her family, children, and grandchildren were most important to her.
