Sara Radney (Dominy) Fordham

Sara Dominy Radney Fordham, age 81, of Dublin, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021.

Mrs. Fordham was born in Laurens County on January 21, 1939, to the late Broadus Dominy and Edith McDaniel Dominy.  She married Dr. Joel Radney in 1955 and they were married for 57 years before his death in 2013. Together they started Radney Chiropractic Clinic in 1958 and in their leisure time enjoyed traveling together.  Sara was considered a very friendly and outgoing person. She enjoyed spending time at the farmhouse with her friends and family and loved her grandchildren. 

Mrs. Fordham was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church and was the organizer and creator of the Sunshine Ladies support group of widows.  She served as President of the Dublin Christians Women’s Club. Several years after Dr. Radney passed away, Sara married Lynn Fordham on January 26, 2019. Sara and Lynn enjoyed hosting and playing cards with friends once a week. They were both very involved in church activities. In addition to her parents and first husband, Mrs. Fordham was also preceded in death by her brother, Billy Dominy.

Survivors include her husband, Lynn Fordham of Dublin; son,  Dr. Derek Radney (Jill Smith Radney)  of Dublin; daughter, Shani Radney DeCubellis (Dr. James DeCubellis) of Tuscaloosa, AL; grandchildren, Adriana DeCubellis, Alexander (Janna) DeCubellis, Julia Radney and Katy Radney.

Due to COVID, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Dublin Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Wes Pinkley will officiate. Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Fordham by dropping by Townsend Brothers Funeral Home, Wednesday afternoon until 6:00 PM.

Services will also be live streamed on Townsend Brothers Funeral Home’s Facebook page for those unable to attend due to COVID-19 precautions.
