Sara Ellen Hanson

Funeral services for Sara Ellen Hanson, age 95, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. George Grimes will officiate.

Mrs. Hanson was born December 9, 1928, in Dexter, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Robert Henry Lee & Corra Stanley Lee, her husband, Albert Hanson, and her daughter, Kay Hanson Avant. She was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church and was retired from Bank of America after 45 years of service. Mrs. Hanson passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024.

She is survived by her son, Keith Hanson; granddaughter, Nicole Brettingen; grandson, Kevin Hanson; granddaughter, Bobbi Gordon; grandson, Shannon Hanson; four great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephews, Henry Stan Lee, Kirk Harden, Tammy Ussery, Carol Harden, Hanna Lamb, Wesley Harden and Jason Harden, and step-son, David Hanson.

A reception will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Page House, 711 Bellevue Avenue, Dublin, Georgia.
