Shelia Bryan Hall, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023. Born on July 8, 1946, in Dexter, Georgia, Shelia's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and dedication to her family, faith, and community.
Shelia was the beloved wife of Herman Hall, Jr., with whom she shared 56 cherished years, building a life filled with love and mutual respect in Dexter, Georgia. Together, they raised a family that was the center of her world. She was a devoted mother to Tasha Wicker, Tonya Hall, and Bryan Hall (Lacey), all of Dublin, GA. Her role as GranGran to her grandchildren, Lyndsey Pharis (Cody), Landry Hall, and Eva Drew Hall, as well as her great-grandchild, Keller Pharis, was one of her greatest joys. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Louise Mullis, Katrina (Bobby Mathews), Marcia Weathersbee, and many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.
The daughter of the late David Bryan and Ida Hatcher Bryan, Shelia grew up in a bustling household alongside her siblings. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby L. Bryan and Howard J. Bryan, and her sisters, Ethel Dykes and Doris Brown. Shelia was also preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Joshua Hall.
A proud graduate of Dexter High School and Middle Georgia College, Shelia's intelligence and work ethic shone brightly throughout her career. She served as the CEO of Hall Pinestraw and was previously employed with Dexter Supply, JP Stevens, and Fairview Park Hospital. Her professional achievements were matched only by her commitment to her faith as a dedicated member of Pinehurst Drive Baptist Church.
Shelia's passion for music was evident to all who knew her and she enjoyed her time as the choir director at church. Her love for singing was only surpassed by her love for her family. Shelia was a loving wife, a nurturing mother, and an adoring GranGran. Her selfless nature and faith-filled life were sources of inspiration and comfort to those around her.
To celebrate the life of Shelia, the family will receive friends on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
