Shelva (Ussery) Baggett

Shelva Ussery Baggett, age 77, passed away on March 10, 2020. Her family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with her funeral service to follow and the burial will be at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Reverend Myron Wise will be officiating the services.

Shelva Baggett was born in Dublin. She graduated from Laurens High School in 1960. She worked at McLellans, Oxford Shirt Factory; and for thirty years she worked at and retired from The Courier Herald as a paper carrier. And throughout her life, she was a member of Bethsaida Baptist church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Donnie Ussery; husband, Willie (Billy) Baggett; sister, Jean Lord; and brothers, Doyle Ussery and Edward Ussery.

She is survived in life by her children, Donna (Mike) Woodard, Mike (Janet) Baggett, and Jeff (Marci) Baggett; grandchildren, Dusty Woodard, Tyler (Delite) Woodard, Shelby (Chuck) Hill, Collin Baggett, Peyton Baggett, and Jaynie Baggett; great grandchildren, Lawson Woodard and Anna Charles Hill; sister-in-law, Rosetta Ussery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
