Spurge Rutland

Spurgeon Lamar Rutland, age 67, of Thunderbolt, Georgia, passed away on February 9, 2024.

Spurge was born on December 16, 1956, in Dublin, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his father, the late Henry Lamar Rutland.

He was known for his dry wit and being the proverbial party animal spirit, had a vibrant personality that touched the lives of many. He was a beloved realtor with Seaport Real Estate Group, where he dedicated his career to helping others find their dream homes.

In his free time, Spurge had a deep love for the beach and Ireland. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and enjoyed engaging in discussions about all things real estate-related.

Spurge is survived by his mother, Eldee Hobbs Rutland; his sisters, Cheryl Rutland and Anne Scheley; his niece, Megan Davis (Jonathan); and his great-nephews, Kaleb Curtis and Kasen Curtis. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lamar Rutland.
