Sue Murkerson Huntley, age 70, of Macon, passed away on September 1, 2021, in the comfort of her home.
Sue was born and raised in Laurens County before moving to Macon where she raised her three children and became CFO and co-owner of Hunt-Ragan Enterprises. She later made her home in metro Atlanta for a number of years before moving back to Macon three years ago. Sue was most proud of her three children and that she held a license in all 50 states as a Litigation Manager for Home Depot. Her favorite past-time was watching crime mysteries on the ID channel and spending time with her children and loving grandchildren who she adored.
Ms. Huntley was preceded in death by her father, Edward “Nooks” Murkerson; mother, Lydia Seretha Murkerson; brother, William Edward Murkerson; sisters, Deborah Fountain and Jean Murkerson; and aunt, Ruth “Sis” Patisaul.
Survivors include her son, Rodney D. Rea, of Woodstock; daughters, Twila Smith (Gene), of Macon, and Dr. Christina Huntley Noguera (Cristian), of Forsyth. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brittany Byer, Zachary Hadaway, Alyssa Vann, Cassidy Vann, Makenna Rea, Rodney ”R.J.” Rea, Lara Noguera, and Maxton Noguera; sisters, Ann Avant, Judy Murkerson-Segura, and Leisa Owens; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Rentz City Cemetery in Rentz, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour at the cemetery.
