Susan Kersey Campbell, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, at Chaplinwoods Nursing Home in Milledgeville, GA.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 25th at Northview Cemetery with Mr. Hugh Kight conducting the service.
Susan was born on February 7, 1936, in Dublin, GA, to the late Henry and Annie Kersery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Campbell; two sons, Ray Curtis Taylor, Jr., and James Clifford Taylor; sisters, Elenor Thompson, Caroly Bowen, and Iris Dixon, and son-in-law, Timothy Young.
Susan’s life was devoted to her family. Her memory will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nancy Taylor Young (Benjamin Smith); grandchildren: John Young (Heather), Ray Taylor (Christy), Jenny Taylor, James Taylor (Brittany), Heather Taylor, and Hailey Taylor, and several great-grandchildren. She was especially close to her grandson, John, and his two sons, Hagen and Brody. She is also survived by her brother, Edward “Bud” Kersey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Susan was known in Dublin as the paper lady. She delivered the Macon Telegraph and the Dublin Courier Herald for over 30 years. Susan was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Dublin. She loved to travel and go places with her family and friends and will always be remembered for her sharp and self depreciating wit.
