Susan (Rice) Harrell

A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Susan Rice Harrell, 61, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 15, 2023 at Dublin Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Harrell was born February 21, 1962 in Dublin, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Jack Rice and Melissa Grant Rice. She was a former member of Pine Forest Methodist Church and was the original roller skate girl at Sonic when it first opened in Dublin. She was a cake decorator who worked at various bakeries and delis around Dublin including Dairy Queen and Cake Art. She brought smiles to a lot of kids faces when she would give them a free cookie when she worked at the bakery. Mrs. Harrell passed away Tuesday, September, 12, 2023.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Dale Harrell of Dublin; her sons, Christopher (Angela) Edge of Dublin, John Edge of Glenwood and Wesley Edge of Dublin; nine grandchildren; a brother, Jack  (Kimberly) Rice, III of Texarkana, Arkansas; two sisters, Kathy Tapley of Dublin and Brenda (Michael) Henderson of Asheville, NC and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, September 14, 2023.
