Virginia M. Padgett

Virginia M. Padgett, age 90, of Dublin, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, October 10, 2019 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Northview Cemetery. Mr. Steve Wyatt will officiate. 

Mrs. Padgett was a member of Jehovah Witness and graduated from Grinell High School. She worked for W.W. Walke for 18 years as a secretary/bookkeeper. She loved to listen to all kinds of music, enjoyed taking walks, and was very active in the Jehovah Witness faith until her health declined. 

Mrs. Padgett was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Lester Padgett; parents, Meroeu and Lillian Morris, Sr.; brothers, EG Morris, Meroeu Morris, Jr., and Don Morris, and a sister, Dorothy Phipps, daughters; Linda Padgett Lester, Susan Helit (Richard Helit). 

Survivors include her son, Luther Pat Padgett (Dee), of Dexter; granddaughter, Iris Warren (Ben), of Dublin; great-grandchildren, TJ Holt, Blade Warren, and Bradley Warren; two nephews, and two nieces.
