Wadean (Flanders) Jones

Wadean Jones, age 77, Dublin, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018.

Wadean loved all people, especially children. She spent a lifetime enjoying all types of arts and crafts from making children and doll clothing, to quilting and ceramics. She preferred to be outside working in her flowers and always said she felt closer to God when she was in her gardens. Her most favorite thing was to spend time with her grandchildren and welcomed every opportunity to be with them. She worked as a seamstress as a career and retired from Biljo Manufacturing. During her last several years she lived with Alzheimer’s and was cared for by the Dublin Place Memory Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Flanders and Claudia Senn.

Survivors include her sons, Garry Jones, of Milledgeville, and Terry Jones, of Dublin; granddaughter, McCall Jones, of Milledgeville; grandsons, Coleman Jones and Logan Jones, both of Milledgeville; sisters, Geneva Brown, Billie Key Payne, and Patsy Flanders, all of Dublin; brother, Clifton Flanders (Madelyn), of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
