Wayne Kight, of East Dublin, passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on January 27, 1944, in the same county he would later leave his legacy, Wayne was a man who lived a life full of dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.
Wayne was predeceased by his loving parents, W.W. and Thelma Kight, his brother, L. Roy Kight, and sister-in-law, Betty Kight. His memory will be treasured and kept alive by his sister, Christine Chafin (Raymond) of East Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
Professionally, Wayne retired as an aircraft mechanic from Gulfstream, where he dedicated many faithful years of service.
Wayne attended Central Drive Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship with the congregation brought him great comfort and joy. Wayne also enjoyed fishing and spending his free time 'junking,' where he could find treasures in the most unexpected places. He also found pleasure in fixing small motors, a testament to his handy nature.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery.
The family may be contacted at the home of Raymond Chafin.
