William Dervis Arnold, Sr.

William Dervis Arnold, Sr., age 77, of Dublin, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021.

Mr. Arnold was a native of Laurens County and was born on January 22, 1944, to the late William Green Arnold and the late Pearl Ussery Arnold. He was a member of East Dublin Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Burnice Arnold.

He is survived by his children, Renee Daniel (Kevin), of Dublin, Donna Needer (Glen), of Soperton, William Arnold, Jr. (Maria), of Chester, and Jason Arnold, of Soperton; brother, Bobby Arnold (Tina), of Zebulon, GA; sisters, Wylene Scott, of Dublin and Geraldine Collins (Glenn), of Dexter; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pleasant Olive Cemetery in Chester. Rev. Renee Daniel and Rev. Keith Hall will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brooks, Jacob Brooks, Grant Arnold, Payton Arnold, Dylan Carey, and Johnathan Brady.
