William (Bill) Wilson Obituary

William (Bill) Alan Wilson, passed away on October 10, 2024, in Little Rock, AR. Born on November 11, 1959, Bill's journey through life was marked by devotion, love, and unwavering faith.

Bill was a proud graduate of Dublin High School, class of 1978. His passion for learning and excellence led him to Mercer University and later to Georgia Tech, where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. His commitment to furthering his education took him to Winthrop University, where he obtained his Executive Master of Business Degree. Bill's professional life was a testament to his hard work and dedication. He began his career with Kimberly-Clarke Company and, inspired by his late father, Ronald Frederick Wilson, made significant contributions to the paper mill industry. He retired with a collection of awards and accolades that spoke to his expertise and commitment to his field.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bill was a man of deep faith. As a Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC, he lived out his beliefs with every action and interaction. His love for the Lord Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his existence, and it shone brightly through his selfless acts and loving demeanor.

Family was the heart of Bill's world. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 44 years, Kaye Killingsworth Wilson of Little Rock, AR; his daughters, Lindsay (Trey) Mattox and Kaily (Michael) Colla, both of Little Rock, AR; and his cherished grandchildren, Britton Mattox, Miller Kate Mattox, Evelyn Mattox, Grey Colla, and Letti Colla. Bill's joy was most evident when he was with his grandchildren, whether he was sharing in their laughter or engaging in a spirited video game session. His role as a supportive husband, father, and grandfather was one he embraced with every fiber of his being.

Bill was also a beloved son to his mother, Shirley Wilson of Clemson, SC, and a brother to Rhonda (Steve) Hensley of Central, SC, Patti (Lance) Maffett of Buford, SC, and John (Carmen) Wilson of Dublin, GA. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Robert D. Killingsworth of Dublin, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Bill is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Emily Killingsworth.

Throughout his life, Bill was involved in various associations that reflected his values and interests. He was a proud member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity and the Alpha Pi Omega Honors Society, where he formed lifelong friendships and connections.

As we say goodbye to Bill, we celebrate a life well-lived, a faith well-kept, and a love well-shared. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
