William David Brooks

Mr. William David Brooks, age 74, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Brooks was born March 13, 1947 in Cleburn, Alabama; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Leroy Brooks and Ruth Merrill Brooks, a granddaughter, Maggie Grace Norris, two sisters, Betty Self and Helen Rogers and four brothers, Eugene Brooks, Jerry Brooks, Richard Brooks and Junior Brooks. He was retired from the Laurens County Board of Education after 14 years at Southwest Laurens Elementary School. 

He is survived by his wife, Lucille McCranie Brooks of Rentz, two sons, Steven (Pam) Brooks of Rentz and Paul (Paige) Brooks of Dublin, two daughters, Amy (Israel) Orlando of Silver Springs, FL and Jan (Chris) Norris of Cadwell, two brothers, Joel (Kathy) Brooks and Leon (Margie) Brooks both of Dublin, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Snowhill Baptist Church with Tim Powell and Hugh Kight officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until funeral hour at the church.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Warnock, Dawson Brooks, Gabe Norris, William Dillinger, Johnathon Dillinger and Matt Dimmen.
