Yvonne (Phillips) Melton

Yvonne Phillips Melton, age 76, of Dublin, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Melton was born in Dillon, SC, on July 15, 1944, to the late Junior and Virginia McGrady Phillips. She was a retired insurance agent and enjoyed working in her yard, traveling, and shopping.  Her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Melton was preceded in death by her husband, Glynn Melton; sisters, Rebecca Pope, and Annie Mae Epperson; and brothers, Clyde Phillips, and Charles Phillips.

Survivors include her sons, John Ivey (Evonne) and Tim Ivey (Tammy), both of Dublin; granddaughters, Caroline Campbell (Nick), of Wrightsville, and Gracie Brandt (Aaron), of Dublin; great-grandchildren, Harper Tarpley, of Dublin, and Madilyn Swain, of Wrightsville and Eli Brandt, of Dublin; twin sister, Carolyn Holbert, of Sumter, SC, and sister, Patricia Ross, of Florence, SC, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 2:00 PM in Dublin Memorial Gardens, Chaplain Rick Tooley will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Pkwy, Dublin, GA 31021.
