Jack Colter, Jr. Obituary

Jarrell Jackson “Jack” Colter, Jr., 62, of Gray, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Mr. Colter was born May 9, 1961, to the late Jarrell Jackson Colter, Sr. and the late Ann Chambless Colter. A true “Jack of all trades;” Mr. Colter worked in many industries, including timber procurement, logging, real estate, and land improvement, as well as a project manager for Gregory Electric Company. He was instrumental in creating and coaching the Jones County 4-H Shotgun Team and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gray.

Mr. Colter is survived by his fiancée, Dr. Linda Sue Arnold; sons, Jarrell Jackson “Tripp” Colter, III (Allison) of Richmond Hill, Tyler Ray Colter of Gray, and Cody Thomas Colter of Gray; brother, Andy Colter (Betty) of Vienna, and sister, Cathy Cunard (Chris) of Macon. Nieces and nephews include Casey Colter, Brandi Medina, Alex Cunard, and Rachel Cunard.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin, GA. with a service to begin at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow in the Rentz Cemetery.
