Jimmy Oliver

Jimmy Oliver, age 75, of Dublin, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, December 14, 2017 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Jeffrey Ricks will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until funeral hour on Thursday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Oliver, Mickey Evans, Trey Oliver, Jeff Shephard, Jeffrey Ricks, and Bubba Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Wimberly, Gary Frost, Hollis Neal, and Dana Swinson.

Mr. Oliver was retired from the Laurens County Public Works Department. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was a devoted husband, loving son, and cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, Moody B. Oliver, Sr., and son, Steven T. Oliver.

Survivors include his wife, Gracie H. Oliver, of Dublin; sons, Glenn Oliver (Tabby), of East Dublin and Jim Oliver, Jr., of Dublin; mother, Jessie Mae Morris Oliver, of Dublin; grandchildren, Alicia, Adam, Halen, Chance and Josie; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Jada, Noah, and Kimbree; brother, Moody Oliver, Jr. (Gail), of Dublin; sisters, Pat Ricks (Arthur) and Jean Watson, both of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews.
