During the time when a loved one passes away, one is never quite attentive to all the details required; however, it has been a year now since my father passed away and finally, we as a family have had time to reflect. We don’t know exactly where to begin in thanking the lovely staff at Townsend Funeral Home for everything done for us during that most difficult time. As a family, we will never forget your attention to detail and the amount of time and attention that you selflessly provided. Not only was your advice exact, you carried us ever so graciously through it all. You made a very difficult process come together extremely smoothly, and for that and for the love and kindness you expressed, we will be forever grateful! From the moment I entered the funeral home to make the arrangements, I was graciously treated like family with embraces, warmth, and heartfelt sincerity. Moreover, this extraordinary level of professionalism and dignity was also extended to our father while he was in your care. Equally, your chapel provided the perfect venue for his “Celebration of Life” service and my mother was quite pleased with the professionalism of the staff throughout the service and with the subsequent transfer and burial in the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville. Jimmy, Deborah, Mike, Steve, Carl and all other staff members, thank you greatly for your attention to detail, your kindness, your concerns, and your efforts to make a difficult time less stressful.
