David Hooks

David Nelson Hooks, age 59 of East Dublin, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014.

Services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Curtis Warnock and Pastor Jeffrey Aaron will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00AM until funeral hour.

David was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. There was nothing more he loved to do than spend time with his family and to be outdoors hunting and fishing. He worked all hours of the day and night to support his family and make sure their needs was met. David was owner and operator of East Side Construction Company and always loved his occupation. He would give you the shirt off his back and was always willing to help someone in need. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eloyce Giles Hooks.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Hooks of East Dublin; daughter, Carla Eloyce Hooks of East Dublin; son, Brandon Robert Dean of East Dublin; grandchildren, Brody Foskey, Skylar Dean and Carson Dean; father, Carl B. Hooks of Dublin; brother, Danny (Paula) Hooks of East Dublin; sister, Mary (Ed) Finch of Birmingham, AL; niece, JoBett (Brady) Smith of Dublin; nephews, Dan (Julie) Hooks of Dublin, Watson McCollister of Nashville, TN, Matthew McCollister of Montana and John Chappell McCollister of Nashville, TN and several other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dan Hooks, Tommy King, Kelly Thigpen, Mike Killingsworth, Hershel Lovett, Matt Graham, Tim Graham, Fred Crisp and Giles Collins.
